Snargate Street Shop

No. 14 Snargate Street is the only surviving Regency shop front from Dover.  It was taken down when bomb damage was cleared after WW2 and put into storage in York until being brought back to Dover by the museum’s volunteers.  With some financial help from Dover Town Council, the volunteers re-erected it and restored it to the role of a lawyer’s office which it had been for much of the 19th Century
