Britain’s newest Air Raid Precaution and Home Guard post opens in Dover…..
Come along and see the newly built 1940’s style Air Raid Warden and Home Guard post at Dover Transport Museum. Built by museum volunteers and equipped and manned by the Dover Home Front Re-enactors the wooden building sits alongside the Anderson shelter and the ‘Dig for Victory’ garden. Together, along with numerous other museum artefacts, this presents a unique feature for everyone interested in or studying the history of WW2 on the home front.
